Removal Company Covering Kent and South East London

Twelve locations. One standard of service. Hadley’s Removals runs dedicated local teams across Kent and South East London, so the movers who turn up at your door already know your streets, your parking rules, and the fastest way out of town. Find your area below.

A Network Built on Local Knowledge

Most removal companies operate one of two ways. Either a national chain sends a team in from wherever they happen to have a van free that day, or a single-town outfit only really knows the streets within a few miles of their yard. Neither model works well once you leave the obvious.

We built Hadley’s differently. Instead of one head office sending crews across the country, we run distinct teams in each of the areas we cover. The Bromley team knows the South Circular at school-run hours. The Watford team knows which estates have gated parking and which lift engineers to call. The Croydon team knows the difference between the tram route and the regular bus lanes when planning a route out.

You get the reach of a regional company and the familiarity of a local one. The same standards, the same insurance, the same brand behind every move, but a crew that genuinely belongs in the postcode they’re working in.

Victorian terraced street in Gravesend where Hadley's Removals operates

Removals in Gravesend

Our home base and the first branch Hadley opened in 1998. The Gravesend team is managed by Priya Sharma and covers the town centre, Ebbsfleet, Northfleet, and the surrounding villages including Meopham, Higham, and Shorne. They know every terraced street in the old town and every new-build access road in the Garden City developments.

Modern new-build estate in Dartford covered by Hadley's Removals

Removals in Dartford

Dartford sits right at the edge of Kent and the capital, which makes it one of the busiest removal routes we handle. A lot of Dartford moves involve first-time buyers leaving London for more space, or families heading the other way for work. We know the Orchards, the Bridge area, and every side road off the A226. Our crew knows.

Leafy Edwardian street in Bromley served by Hadley's Removals

Removals in Bromley

Bromley means Victorian terraces, leafy avenues in Shortlands and Bickley, and a borough that stretches from London down to the edges of Kent countryside. Our Bromley team handles everything from top-floor flats on Masons Hill to five-bedroom houses in Chislehurst. The South Circular runs through their patch, so route planning matters.

Croydon residential street with tram line in the background

Removals in Croydon

Croydon is technically twelve different sub-markets stacked together. Purley is not South Norwood. Addiscombe is not Thornton Heath. Our Croydon team works the whole borough, from the tram-linked town centre out to Coulsdon and Selsdon. They handle high-rise flats, terraces, and everything in between, and they know the tram stops well enough to plan around them.

Quiet bungalow estate in Bexley covered by Hadley's Removals

Removals in Bexley

Bexley covers Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Welling, Erith, and everything in between, and it’s one of those boroughs where older residents often downsize from four-bedroom houses into bungalows or flats. That means a lot of our jobs are half-day local moves, and the team knows exactly which estates and sheltered developments we’ll be working in. Give us a call now, or text on whatsapp.

Leafy residential street of 1930s family homes in Eltham, South East London

Removals in Eltham

Eltham sits in SE9, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, right in the gap between our Bromley and Bexley patches. It’s leafy, family-heavy, and properly connected, four Zone 4 stations and Eltham Palace at its centre. The job here shifts street to street: a Progress Estate period home in Well Hall, a 1930s semi in New Eltham, a Mottingham family house. Our team knows which is which.

The Difference a Local Team Makes

Every town has quirks that cost time and money if your removal crew doesn’t know about them. A national chain won’t warn you. A genuinely local team will.

Parking That Actually Works:

We know which streets need council suspension permits applied for five working days in advance, which estates have gated access that needs a resident to buzz us in, and which town center loading bays we can legally use for 30 minutes on a Tuesday morning. That’s not information you get from a postcode lookup.

Access:

Nobody Warns You About Narrow Kent village lanes. Croydon high-rises where the service lift is only booked through concierge. Watford new-builds where the approach road becomes one-way at 8am for the school run. Our local teams know which properties need a smaller van, a shuttle, or a specific arrival time, and they plan for it when they quote you, not when they turn up.

Routes:

Routes That Don’t Surprise You Between any two of our areas, our crews already know the fastest way to get your things there. They know when the Blackwall Tunnel is worth using and when it isn’t. They know the M25 junction between Dartford and Watford is the slowest part of any eastern move at 4pm. They’ve been doing these routes long enough to build the knowledge into every quote.

Coverage Questions

Here are a few common questions about our coverage:

I don’t see my exact town listed. Do you still cover it?

Probably yes. The twelve areas above are where our dedicated teams are based, but our coverage stretches a bit further around each one. If you’re in a neighbouring town or village, give us a ring or request a quote and we’ll tell you straight. If it’s outside what we can cover, we’ll say so rather than waste your time.

I’m moving between two of your areas. Which team handles it?

Either team can quote you, and you can pick whichever is easier. For longer inter-area moves, we usually pair the origin team with the destination team so there’s a crew at both ends. You pay one price, and the handover happens in the background.

Do you move from one of your areas out to somewhere further away?

Yes. Outbound long-distance moves are common, especially from our London-edge areas to other parts of the country. We quote these case by case because timing, vehicle size, and overnight logistics all vary. Ring us with your origin postcode and destination and we’ll put together a price.

Are the teams in each area genuinely different people, or is it one crew travelling around?

Different people. Each area has its own branch manager and its own crew. Gravesend is managed by Priya Sharma, and as we open each new branch, the local manager will be introduced on that area’s page. This is a deliberate part of how we operate, not a marketing line.

Not Sure Which Area You’re In?
